Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday. (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.
Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday. For employees whose work week is from Monday to Friday inclusive, when any paid holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday and is not being proclaimed as being observed on another specified day, the Employer shall designate, at its option, either the preceding Friday or the following Monday to be observed as the paid holiday. Where two consecutive paid holidays fall on Saturday and Sunday and are not proclaimed as being observed on the two other specified days, the Employer shall designate, at its option, either the preceding Friday and the following Monday or the following Monday and Tuesday as the paid holidays.
Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday before shall be a holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday following shall be a holiday.

Where any of the above noted holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday, and are not proclaimed as being observed on some alternate day, the following Monday shall be observed if the Statutory Holiday falls on Sunday or Friday shall be observed if the Statutory Holiday falls on a Saturday.

Saturday Holiday - In the event any of the specified holidays occur on Saturday, all employees covered by this Agreement who fulfill the qualifications for receiving holiday pay in the week immediate- ly preceding such holiday Saturday, shall receive such holiday with pay at the rate of eight (8) hours’ pay for the holiday, in addition to any monies the employee may earn on such holidays. Where a hol- iday occurs on Saturday, it shall be celebrated on Friday if so deemed by Proclamation (Md.) or Executive Order (D.C.). Sunday Holiday - A holiday which falls on Sunday shall be cele- brated on Monday.

Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.
Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday. If and whenever any holiday provided for in Article 12.1 above, other than Christmas, falls on a Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday. If and whenever a holiday provided for in Article 12.1 above falls on a Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday.
Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday. When one (1) of the holidays listed above falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the employer shall grant the employees either the Friday immediately before or the Monday immediately after said holiday weekend in lieu of the actual holiday.

When any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday or Sunday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the Associate Vice-President, People and Resources, shall notify the Union, in advance of the applicable calendar year of what day will be deemed the holiday for the purposes of this Collective Agreement.

Where there is a work dependency between employees covered by this agreement and private sector employees, the parties may, by mutual agreement, amend (a) above.
