Holiday Rotation. Vacation requests filed in accordance with 17.2 for the week including Thanksgiving and the weeks including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day shall be granted on a rotating basis. The rotation will begin with the most senior person and shall proceed in that order until all staff wishing to take vacation leave during those holiday periods have done so. No employee shall be granted more than one (1) of the aforementioned weeks in a single year, unless there are no other interested employees and the department is able to grant the request based on operational needs.
Holiday Rotation. Holidays will be scheduled off on a rotational basis subject to hours of operation, patient care needs and staffing considerations on the work unit. Staff and management on the work unit are responsible for developing a mutually agreeable, equitable holiday rotation plan for the work unit. Staff or management may request the assistance of a union delegate/organizer and Employee and Labor Relations consultant, if needed.
Holiday Rotation. The Hospital shall use its best efforts, including an opportunity for nurses to express their preferences on a sign-up sheet, not to require a nurse to work more than two (2) holidays per calendar year, nor to work the same major holidays in two (2) consecutive years. A casual nurse must work two (2) major holidays per year. Holidays for purposes of this sub-section shall be defined as: any holiday as defined in this contract with applicable shift differentials applied.
Holiday Rotation. (a) In addition to their regular work, all full-time, part-time, and per diem employees will work a rotating holiday commitment for the holidays listed in Article 22. Employees will rotate within their specific programs. There will be a quarterly holiday rotation list. Holiday rotation requests shall be made in accordance with the weekend scheduling procedure set forth in Article 12.1(b).

Holiday Rotation. Drivers shall be assigned to work on holidays on a rotating basis by inverse order of seniority. It is the intent of the parties that the holidays off will be equally distributed among the drivers.

Holiday Rotation. Holiday work shall be rotated equitably among nurses within the designated work area and shift. Volunteers to work will be sought before holidays are assigned. Trades among staff will not be unreasonably denied. Each department will develop unit specific Holiday rotation guidelines with staff input and management approval provided. Management will make reasonable efforts to ensure that no nurse is required to work the same holiday two consecutive years. Holiday rotation issues that are unresolved at the unit level should be referred to the appropriate Director, the Human Resources department, and up the chain of command.
Holiday Rotation. 1. The holidays of January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving Day, and December 25 off will not be included in the CTO request process and will be rotated as equally as possible to afford each employee a fair share of the holidays off. No employee will be required to work more than two (2) of these holidays in any given year. If a bargaining unit employee requests and is approved for time off on one of these holidays, a request in the following year for time off on the same holiday shall be given less priority than other employee requests.
