Holiday Pay Qualifications. An employee has no entitlement to holiday pay if he or she fails, without reasonable cause, to work all of his or her last regularly scheduled day of work before the holiday or all of his or her first regularly scheduled day of work after the holiday.
Holiday Pay Qualifications a. In order to qualify for holiday pay for the holidays listed in 18.01 a) and 18.01 b) the employee must work his/her regular scheduled shift immediately preceding and immediately following the holiday and must work at least one (1) day in the two (2) week period preceding the holiday. However, if an employee’s absence on the regular working day immediately prior to and/or following a holiday is due to illness as confirmed by a doctor’s certificate, if required by the Employer, the foregoing qualifications would not apply and the employee will be eligible for one (1) day’s holiday pay during any one (1) period of illness except at Christmas and New Year’s period where there is more than one (1) holiday, the entitlement shall be limited to a maximum of two (2) days. It is understood that no employee shall be entitled to holiday pay and sick leave on the same day. If an employee is ill on the holiday and subject to the foregoing, the employee shall receive only holiday pay.
Holiday Pay Qualifications. (A) In order to qualify for a holiday with pay, an employee must be on duty immediately before and after the holiday. Authorized absence with pay will be considered as being on duty.

In order to qualify for holiday pay, the employee must work their regular scheduled shift immediately preceding and immediately following the holiday unless the employee has been excused with the permission of the Employer, or on approved sick leave or vacation. An employee scheduled to work on the holiday and who does not report for work shall forfeit their holiday pay unless the employee has been excused with the permission of the Employer, or on approved sick leave or vacation.
Holiday Pay Qualifications. 16.3.a To qualify for holiday pay, employees must have worked their regularly scheduled shift immediately preceding and immediately following the holiday. Authorized and scheduled vacation, holiday, personal and bereavement leave shall be considered as days worked for the purpose of holiday pay.
