Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Paid Leave. When a day that is a designated paid holiday for an employee falls within a period of Leave With Pay, that day shall count as a holiday and not as a day of leave. Employees working on extended shifts or variable hours must account for the difference in hours between the work day under the variable work hours schedule and the seven and one-half (7 hours allowed for the holiday.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Accrual Rate of Sick Leave With Pay Credits Full-time employees shall accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave with pay credits for each full month worked. Employees who work less than the full month but at least thirty-two (32) hours during the month shall accrue sick leave with pay on a pro rata basis for the month.
