Holiday Break. Time and one-half (1-½) will be paid for extra trips on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and during holiday breaks (Christmas and Easter vacation). It is understood that summer break (the period between when school ends for one year and begins the next year) is not considered a “holiday break”.

Holiday Break. Custodial/Maintenance employees do not need to report during the holiday break except to provide coverage for one employee to complete a daily walk-through of buildings and mechanical rooms and grounds and/or an emergency situation if called in. Employees will sign up on a volunteer basis. If there are not enough volunteers, the supervisor will ask the high seniority and force the low seniority. All hours worked during the holiday break will be at double time.

  • Holiday Leave Holiday leave provisions shall be as noted below:

  • Holiday Worked In addition to Subsection A above, employees will be compensated for the hours actually worked on a holiday at the overtime rate, in accordance with Article 17, Overtime.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Holiday Work Employees who work on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay.

  • Holiday Premium If an employee works one of the following holidays, they will receive time and one half for all hours worked on that holiday: New Year’s Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, the Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Holiday 6.1 The Executive shall be entitled during the Employment to 30 working days holiday in each calendar year plus bank holidays. Holiday may only be taken at such time or times as the Chief Executive Officer shall approve. The Executive’s holiday entitlement shall be pro rated for the year in which the Employment begins and for the year in which the Employment ends.

  • Religious Holiday Leave An employee may use two (2) sick days for religious observances if he/she has no personal business leave days. When an employee requests the use of this leave for days not known to be a religious holiday, the Board may request documentation.

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday:

  • Paid Holiday Bank Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).
