Holiday Administrative Leave Sample Clauses

Holiday Administrative Leave. The week between Christmas and New Year’s Day shall be granted as administrative paid leave for all exempt staff workers. However, in order to facilitate membership access to the staff, in at least one (1) SEIU Local 503, OPEU field office during this work week, up to two (2), as determined by the Employer non-probationary MRC Union Organizer(s) must be available to handle contract administration or other miscellaneous telephone calls for members statewide on a daily basis. This one (1) or two (2), person(s) can volunteer to work the entire week, or for partial weeks as long as the full week is covered between all volunteers. Any time spent working this week to provide necessary telephone coverage will entitle the MRC Union Organizer(s) to an equivalent number of days off at some later date designated by the Organizer with approval of the supervisor in the immediately following calendar year. Whenever SEIU Local 503, OPEU, assigns more than one (1) MRC Organizer to work during the period in question, those Organizer(s) shall receive an equivalent number of days off at some later date designated by each Organizer with approval of their supervisor, in the immediately following calendar year. If no MRC Union Organizer(s) volunteers for this assignment, the least senior non-probationary MRC Union Organizer(s) on staff shall be assigned this duty. Upon mutual agreement, a qualified, non-probationary non-MRC Union Organizer may be substituted for an MRC Organizer. Any worker assigned duties during the period in question for any reason not stated above, will be entitled to compensatory time for all time worked.
