Holiday Accrual. Compensatory time off in lieu of holidays earned after the effective date of this Agreement shall be recorded in a leave category to be known as Holiday Leave.
Holiday Accrual. 5 (A) 56-hour employees shall accrue sixteen (16) hours of holiday time per holiday.
Holiday Accrual. An employee may carry over not more than twenty-four (24) hours of holiday time from one year to the next. Such holiday time carryover shall not be accumulative.
Holiday Accrual. Employees shall accrue time off for holidays, at the rate of 8.0 hours per month, for a total of ninety-six (96) hours. Holiday accrual shall accrue to the PTO leave bank and become part of the monthly accrual for PTO in accordance with Article 11, Section 11.1.

Hours in excess of one hundred twenty (120) hours shall be paid. Stated amounts are based on full-time status; part-time status will be pro-rated as a full- time equivalent. Holiday leave shall be utilized in the same manner as vacation leave, and shall be approved or denied on the same basis. Non-sworn employees and Officers assigned as Detective and School Resource Officer shall take holiday time off on the date the holiday is observed unless otherwise authorized by the Chief. This practice shall end on December 31, 2022 and all employees will follow this article.
Holiday Accrual. These holiday leave hours shall not accrue until the date of the holiday listed below and cannot be taken until on or after the holiday normally falls in the calendar year. Holiday Accrual. Each Officer shall be credited with one day of accrued holiday leave for each holiday adopted by the City Council for each year. Any Officer whose start time for the work shift is on a premium holiday shall receive regular pay plus one and one-half times their base pay plus longevity (with the accrued holiday plus ½ time in pay or compensation time, or without the accrued holiday in pay or compensatory time, at the Officer’s discretion). Any overtime accrued in excess of the Officer’s regular duty hours, during the premium holiday, shall be at one and one half (1 ½) times their base pay plus longevity (in pay or in compensatory time at the Officer’s discretion). Holiday Accrual. An employee who is on an accepted Temporary Disability Leave (TTD) of absence shall be entitled to accrue the same holiday credits the employee would have normally accrued had they had not been placed on Temporary Disability Leave of absence without pay.
Holiday Accrual. In exchange for the increased number of regular days off, the bargaining unit agrees to accrue 4.4 hours for each holiday as identified in Article 10.1 for a total annual accrual of forty-four (44) hours.
