Historic Preservation. Any excavation by Contractor that uncovers a historical or archaeological artifact shall be immediately reported to Owner. Construction shall be temporarily halted pending the notification process and further directions issued by Owner after consultation with the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) or similar official.
