HIRING AND PROMOTION. 39.01 No employee shall in any way be penalized for refusing to accept a promotion or transfer.
HIRING AND PROMOTION. It is the intent of the District that job openings other than entry level job openings shall be filled by promotion of qualified District employees. For all entry level job openings, the District shall be free to recruit both in-house and outside simultaneously.

The date of hire shall be the salary anniversary date. In the event that the department head cannot recommend advancement, the employee will remain on the same salary step until advancement is earned, at which time a new anniversary date will be established. If the employee submits a written request as to why he/she is not advancing, a written response will be given by the District.

(a) The Employer shall post a notice in the editorial department for seven (7) working days for all job vacancies or new positions in the editorial department, except editor and news editor. It is understood that the posting of positions excluded from the bargaining unit is for information purposes only and that the remaining provisions of this agreement shall not be applicable to such postings.
HIRING AND PROMOTION. 18.01 The Employer shall fill bargaining unit job vacancies from within the bargaining unit before hiring new employees, providing employees are available with the necessary qualifications to fill the vacant position. The Employer shall notify the Union when vacancies occur.

The Prosecuting Attorney, as a matter of his sole and exclusive discretion, retains the right to hire and promote Deputies to fill any position within the office that Deputy is qualified for. The hiring or promoting of a Deputy shall be made within the salary schedule set out in this Agreement.
HIRING AND PROMOTION. 17.01 A newly hired employee will be considered to be on probation for a period of sixty (60) days worked calculated from the most recent date of hire. During this probationary period the employee may be disciplined or discharged for a lesser standard than just cause.

Crozer shall post any bargaining unit jobs that it elects to fill for ten (10) calendar days on all Crozer bulletin boards where jobs are posted and on the Crozer intranet site and Crozer EMS net scheduler. Posted jobs shall include the position title, job classification, a summary of the job description and qualifications and whether the position is full-time or part-time. All interested bargaining unit Employees shall follow the application process set forth by Crozer-Chester Medical Center within the posted period. Positions shall be awarded based on qualifications. Where there is no distinguishable difference, classification seniority will prevail in awarding the position. If no qualified unit member applies for said position, non-bargaining unit Employees or other applicants will be considered.
