Health Benefits Advisory Committee. A Health Benefits Advisory Committee with representatives appointed by the Employer from a list of nominations from the Association, shall be established to make recommendations to the superintendent or his/her designee regarding the composition and provision of employee health benefit plans that will allow purchase of high quality health services and will reduce or slow the rate of growth in medical costs. In no way shall any recommendation of this committee be construed as the position of the Association. The Association and the Employer are committed to actively participating in the work of the Health Benefits Advisory Committee and the following timelines for the completion of study. The Committee should meet monthly or quarterly as needed. The Association and Employer are prepared to take action on recommendations made by the Committee and agree to use as decision criteria accepted standards that pressure must be maintained on the health care community by requiring alternative plans to compete for the opportunity to serve Des Moines Public Schools’ employees and their dependents. The Des Moines Education Association and the Employer will commit to active participation in a Health Benefits Advisory Committee initiative to review and recommend cost effective changes in plan design related to the prescription drug and major medical benefits. Areas for consideration will include, but not be limited to:  Exploring employee contribution  Increase co-pays/deductibles  Increase maximum out-of-pocket expenditure  Increase managed care strategy For 2015-2016, wellness participation is voluntary. The District shall provide each employee the opportunity to receive a biometric health screening at no cost to the employee. The District will set aside one adjusted-dismissal Wednesday for wellness education, including time for employees to complete an online personal health assessment.

Other health care purchasers in central lowa may be contacted to investigate and, if feasible, recommend development of a coalition of health care purchasers to implement a preferred provider organization.

Health Benefits Advisory Committee. The Superintendent shall maintain a Health Benefits Advisory Committee. The composition of the Committee shall include: five (5) members of the administrative staff appointed by the Superintendent; the President or his designee; and bargaining unit members appointed by the respective unit presidents on the basis of one (1) member for every five hundred (500) members or fraction thereof represented by the bargaining unit. The bargaining unit representative shall be released to attend the Health Benefits Advisory Committee meetings as Union business without loss of pay if the meetings occur during their work hours. The purpose of the committee is to allow joint consultation on matters concerning hospitalization, major medical, prescription, dental, vision and term life insurance coverage. Any Health Benefits Advisory Committee member organization may retain, at its own cost and for its own purposes, a health care consultant who may attend Committee meetings. Such consultation shall include, but is not limited to: monthly monitoring of all plan costs, including claims; quarterly reviews to insure effective and efficient fringe benefit expenditures; quarterly reviews of plan performance objectives; and, annual reviews of coverage options and utilization studies and claim audits. The committee shall determine its own meeting schedule, and shall make annual recommendations to the Superintendent regarding any aspect of the fringe benefits package. Information on new classifications of drugs shall be shared with the committee within thirty (30) days. The Health Benefits Advisory Committee shall meet regularly during the term of this Agreement. It will have the authority to review data in one or a combination of the following areas: prescription co-pays, mandatory mail-in for maintenance drugs, office visit co-pays, single and family annual deductibles, and monthly premiums (in dollar amounts). The Committee, by consensus, may expand the list of areas. The Board’s health care consultant shall participate in the meetings and shall provide estimates of cost savings to the Committee based on possible changes to the plan. The consultant shall provide the committee with data supporting the estimated savings as well as other information s/he may be expected to routinely keep in her/his capacity as the Board’s health care consultant.

Health Benefits Advisory Committee. The parties agree to participate in a Health Benefits Advisory Committee to review existing health and welfare benefit programs, plan changes, and cost containment, including but not limited to, second tier health and related benefit contributions for new employees. EGPOA may select up to two City employee representatives to participate in Committee meetings. In addition to City representatives, the Committee may also include non EGPOA represented employees. Health Benefits Advisory Committee. Within 60 days of the ratification of this Agreement, the University shall institute a Union/Management Health Benefits Advisory Committee to review the University’s benefits offerings. This committee shall be made up of equal parts OPEIU-represented staff and management representatives (not to exceed three (3) OPEIU members). Other employee groups covered by the University’s group medical, dental and vision plans will be invited to participate in this Committee. Topics may include, but are not limited to, cost effectiveness and choice and design of benefit plans. This committee shall meet quarterly. This committee shall be advisory in nature.

  • Benefits Advisory Committee The Board agrees to establish a Benefits Advisory Committee to provide stakeholder input into maintaining quality and affordable benefits. The focus of this committee shall be to:

A Settling State may elect to use an existing advisory committee or similar entity (created outside of a State-Subdivision Agreement or Allocation Statute); provided, however, the Advisory Committee or similar entity shall meet the following requirements:

  • JOINT ADVISORY COMMITTEE 5.01 A Joint Advisory Committee shall operate during the term of this agreement consisting of one (1) employee representative from each location and up to an equal number of employer representatives who shall meet at least once every six (6) months to discuss working conditions, economy of operation, quality and quantity of service, safety and health, workplace stress, violence and abuse prevention, and other matters to promote an ongoing harmonious relationship between the Employer and its employees. The Joint Advisory Committee shall meet at the request of either party. The full-time Union Representative may attend said meetings. All time spent attending Joint Advisory Committee meetings by employees shall be considered time worked but time spent at “pre-meetings” will not be considered time worked.

  • TRANSITION COMMITTEE 8.1.0 A transition committee comprised of the employee representatives and the employer representatives, including the Crown, will be established by January 31, 2016 to address all matters that may arise in the creation of the Trust.

  • FISCAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE Recognizing the value of Union input on behalf of employees, the parties agree to the following:

  • Technical Advisory Committee (TAC The goal of this subtask is to create an advisory committee for this Agreement. The TAC should be composed of diverse professionals. The composition will vary depending on interest, availability, and need. TAC members will serve at the CAM’s discretion. The purpose of the TAC is to: • Provide guidance in project direction. The guidance may include scope and methodologies, timing, and coordination with other projects. The guidance may be based on: o Technical area expertise; o Knowledge of market applications; or o Linkages between the agreement work and other past, present, or future projects (both public and private sectors) that TAC members are aware of in a particular area. • Review products and provide recommendations for needed product adjustments, refinements, or enhancements. • Evaluate the tangible benefits of the project to the state of California, and provide recommendations as needed to enhance the benefits. • Provide recommendations regarding information dissemination, market pathways, or commercialization strategies relevant to the project products. The TAC may be composed of qualified professionals spanning the following types of disciplines: • Researchers knowledgeable about the project subject matter; • Members of trades that will apply the results of the project (e.g., designers, engineers, architects, contractors, and trade representatives); • Public interest market transformation implementers; • Product developers relevant to the project; • U.S. Department of Energy research managers, or experts from other federal or state agencies relevant to the project; • Public interest environmental groups; • Utility representatives; • Air district staff; and • Members of relevant technical society committees. The Recipient shall: • Prepare a List of Potential TAC Members that includes the names, companies, physical and electronic addresses, and phone numbers of potential members. The list will be discussed at the Kick-off meeting, and a schedule for recruiting members and holding the first TAC meeting will be developed. • Recruit TAC members. Ensure that each individual understands member obligations and the TAC meeting schedule developed in subtask 1.11. • Prepare a List of TAC Members once all TAC members have committed to serving on the TAC. • Submit Documentation of TAC Member Commitment (such as Letters of Acceptance) from each TAC member.
