Asbestos / Hazardous Substances It is expressly brought to the purchasers attention that certain types of plant or main service installations could contain Asbestos, dangerous chemicals, etc. which if not handled correctly during their removal from the site could be in breach of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, the Asbestos (Licensing) Regulations as amended and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988 (COSHH) or any other current legislation covering the use of such substances in a working environment.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK The Supplier shall undertake its obligations arising hereunder and in all Contracts in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System or equivalent. Both parties shall take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of the other party’s employees and agents visiting their premises. The Supplier shall notify the Authority of any use of substances listed under COSHH regulations or the Montreal Protocol in the provision of the Services.

  • Work Health and Safety (a) The employer and employee acknowledge their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012.

Eskom may, at any stage during the currency of this agreement, be entitled to:  Do safety audits at the Contractor’s premises, its work-places and on its employees;  Refuse any employee, sub-contractor or agent of the Contractor access to its premises if such person has been found to commit any unlawful act or any unsafe working practice or is found to be not authorised or qualified in terms of the Act;
