Health and Committee. The Committee shall be the principal forum for joint Labour-Management consultation on, and the development of recommendations for solutions to safety and health issues in the workplace. Functions of Committee
Health and Committee. The Company agrees to establish a Health and Safety Committee in accordance with the provisions and requirements of the Code. Vehicle
Health and Committee. In accordance with the Occupational and Safety Act, the employer recognizes the Health and Safety Committee (up to six from each). The Local Union President'sworkload and Chief Stewards workload will each be reduced by forty percent (40%) without loss of pay or credits.
Health and Committee. The Hospital and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health in the Hospital in order to prevent accidents, injury and illness. Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Hospitalagrees to accept as a member of its Accident Prevention Health and Safety Committee at one representative selected or appointed by the Union from amongst bargaining unit employees. Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to safety and health. The Hospital agrees to co-operate reasonably in providing necessary information to enable the committee to fulfil its functions. Meetings shall be held every second month or more frequently at the call of the chair if required. The maintain minutes of all meetings and make the same available for review. Any representative appointed or selected in accordance with hereof shall serve for a term of one calendar year from the date of appointment which may be renewed for further periods of one year. Time off for such to attend meetings of the Accident Prevention Health and Safety Committee in accordance with the foregoing shall be granted and time so spent attending such meetings shall be deemed to be work time for which the shall be paid by the Hospital at his regular or premium rate as may be applicable. The Union agrees to endeavour to obtain the full operation of its membership in the observation of all safety rules and practices. Pregnant employees may request to be transferred from their current duties if, in the professional opinion of the employee's physician, the pregnancy may be at risk. If such a transfer is not feasible, the pregnant employee, if she so requests, will be granted an unpaid leave of absence before of the maternity leave referred to in Article Where the Hospital identifies high risk areas where employees are exposed to Hepatitis the Hospital will provide, at no cost to the employees, a Hepatitis B vaccine. The Hospital will require employees performing the following functions to wear appropriate safety footwear: I) Maintenance

Hospitals with sites of up to one hundred (100) nurses per site may choose to include a representative from the bargaining unit from each site, or have a separate Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee at each site or to remain with the current structure. Hospitals with sites of over one hundred (100) nurses per site will choose either to include a representative from the bargaining unit from each site, or to have a separate Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee at each site, unless the parties agree otherwise. Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to safety and health. The Hospital agrees to cooperate in providing necessary information to enable the Committee to fulfill its functions. In addition, the Hospital will provide the Committee with access to all accident reports, health and safety records and any other pertinent information in its possession.
Health and Committee. In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the employer recognizes the Health and Safety to four each) ARTICLE NO STRIKES NO LOCK-OUTS There shall be no strikes, slowdowns or lockouts so long as this Agreement continues to operate. The words "strike" and "lockout" have the meaning attributed to them in the interpretation section of the Ontario Labour Relations Act, as amended. The Union recognizes the right of the Society to discharge or otherwise discipline employees taking part in such a strike, provided that a claim by an employee or employees that such participation was not factual, or that such discharge or discipline was inappropriate, shall be treated as a grievance under the discharge or discipline clause of this Agreement. The Society agrees not to indiscriminately administer such discipline in the light of facts as they appear at that time. The Employer agrees that the Union may an unfair labour practise charge if the Employer engages such a lockout.
Health and Committee. The parties agree to institute an Occupationai and Committee as provided for under the Occupational Health and legislation of Ontario. This Committee meet regularly and discharge al under the legislation. The parties agree to cooperate fully in the provisions and intent of the Occupational and Safety Act of Ontario in order to promote the safety and well-being of employees and the community.
Health and Committee. All members of the Joint Health and Safety Committee shall attend the regularly scheduled meeting at their workplace. Members include regular members and alternates. All union members of the Committee shall caucus one hour prior to the regular meeting. Time spent attending regular scheduled meetings and caucus time shall be paid by the Employer.
Health and Committee a) The Company and the Association agree to promote and encourage safety practices that will ensure the safety and health of all Flight Crew Members. Accordingly, the Company agrees that Flight Crew Members will be entitled to representation on the Company's Health and Safety Committee at locations where both Flight Crew Members and Committees are established. The Company shall cover the cost of any flight releases required for the Health and Safety Committee member to attend the Company's Health and Safety Committee meetings and will ensure that the Committee member will not suffer any loss of pay as a result of completing Health and Safety tasks at the direction of the Committee. The Company shall allow the Flight Crew Members to participate in the Company's Emergency Response Program where Flight Crew Members are involved.
