Hazardous Materials Program. The parties agree to comply with the Company’s Hazardous Materials Program. The parties agree that the Company will be responsible for the development and implementation of procedures subject to federal, state and local laws regarding the handling of hazardous materials.

Hazardous Materials Program. Parties must update the Hazardous Materials Program guidelines with the understanding that the Union and the Employer will revise the hazardous materials program and address only the mandated requirements.
Hazardous Materials Program. An employee assigned to the ACFD Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Team shall be compensated an additional amount above the base salary for their classification indicated in Appendix A, in accordance with the survey formula provisions in Appendix D. Effective June 30, 2022: Employees who are assigned to the HazMat team on or after June 30, 2022, are required to obtain Specialist-level training to continue receiving the premium compensation referenced herein. Employees will receive such compensation once Technician- level training is obtained, and must obtain Specialist-level training by the second-time the course is offered by ACFD to maintain such compensation.

Hazardous Materials Program. The parties have rewritten the "Hazardous Materials Program" to be effective April 1, 1998, and is hereby incorporated by reference in this Agreement. The Program will be printed and distributed to all members/employees in line with regulatory guidelines. The parties further agree that as new federally mandated changes occur, they too will become part of this Agreement. The Guidelines contained in the printed Program are minimums, and are not intended to prevent the Employer from providing additional training or protection which would enhance safety and health to the employees. All regular employees shall be paid for such training at their regular straight time hourly rate.
