Guiding Teachers. (a) The School/District shall make recommendations to USC regarding teachers whom it believes are appropriate to serve as Guiding Teachers (defined below). Through the School’s/District’s recommendations, USC's observations and Student Teacher reference, USC shall identify teachers working within the School/District to supervise and prepare Student Teachers during their student teaching experiences ("Guiding Teacher").

  • Traveling Teachers 1. Each traveling teacher shall be given a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes to travel from one building to another. The fifteen (15) minutes shall come from the total student contact time of the traveling teacher.

  • New Teacher Orientation The Association shall have the opportunity to participate in the opening in-service day including speakers for the sole purpose of greeting new faculty members and informing them of the opportunities available to them through joining their professional association.

  • Union Management Relations 4.1 All collective bargaining with respect to hours and general working conditions shall be conducted by authorized representatives of the Union and authorized representatives of the Employer.

  • BEGINNING TEACHERS definition Beginning teachers meet the Teaching Council criteria for provisional certification as a teacher. Beginning Teachers work under the guidance of others. They undertake “advice and guidance” programmes to assist in the development of the competencies required for full certification.

  • Student Teachers 8.05.01.A No teacher will be required to accept the responsibility of supervising student teachers; it is believed that professionally interested teachers will volunteer to do so from time to time.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.
