Guidance Services. Guidance services will be provided at the high school, junior high, and elementary levels. Guidance services at the elementary level may be provided by a guidance counselor, a school psychologist, or a teacher on special assignment.

Guidance Services. The guidance program is operated under the direction of one full time counselor. She confers with parents and students concerning scheduling, vocation, and educational plans, academic achievement, interprets data from tests, and assists the student with personal and individual counseling. Guidance is an essential part of the educational program that is available to students, parents, and teachers on a continuing basis. Students are encouraged to see their counselor at any time a need arises. Student Records Booneville High School collects, maintains, and disseminates student records in compliance with Mississippi Codes 37-3-49, 37-15-3, and the family educational rights and privacy act of 1974. Parents may set up an appointment with the counselor if they desire to see their son or daughter’s records. Library Services Students may enter the library with an official pass slip by a teacher. Any book checked out to a student is the responsibility of that student. The library will also be open before and after school for your for your convenience.
Guidance Services. Guidance is given in the selection of program objectives that relate to the student's area of interest. The advice in the selection of appropriate courses for the intended program objective is given through the school counseling office. If students indicate interest in a baccalaureate degree, they are given information about the general education and prerequisite requirements that relate to their degree objective by the PBSC advisor.
