Guidance (Chronological Overview. This subsection illustrates the intended time sequence of steps in the waiver generation and approval process. While deviating from the timeline shown below can incidentally create risks of non-approval, the later “Process” section of this article is the authoritative rule. It is merely recommended that sites follow this timeline in order to achieve compliance with the process. SUSD (Asst Supt of HR and Asst Supt of Ed Services). February ● SUSD and STA each reviews the request. (acid test) ○ STA President/CTA Staff reviews the request. ○ If approved, STA the Site Rep will bring present the waiver to the Association’s executive board for final approval. ○ If rejected by either party, the waiver will be returned to the site rep(s) to draft more appropriate contract waiver language. ○ If approved, STA will sign and send it to the District for approval. ● SUSD reviews the request. ○ If rejected, the waiver will be returned to the site rep(s) to draft more appropriate contract waiver language. ● If approved by both, the District will sign and bring the waiver to the school board for final approval. March / April (approval) ● The SUSD school board and STA executive board each consider the waiver and either approves or denies the waiver as written. Approval by both is required for waiver authorization.

  • Preceptor Pay Any nurse assigned as a preceptor shall receive a premium of one dollar fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.

  • Overtime-Eligible Employees Unpaid Meal Periods The Employer and the Union agree to unpaid meal periods that vary from and supersede the unpaid meal period requirements required by WAC 000-000-000. Unpaid meal periods for employees working more than five (5) consecutive hours, if entitled, will be a minimum of thirty (30) minutes and will be scheduled as close to the middle of the work shift as possible, taking into account the Employer’s work requirements and the employee’s wishes. Employees working three (3) or more hours longer than a normal workday will be allowed an additional thirty (30) minute unpaid meal period. When an employee’s unpaid meal period is interrupted by work duties, the employee will be allowed to resume their unpaid meal period following the interruption, if possible, to complete the unpaid meal period. In the event an employee is unable to complete the unpaid meal period due to operational necessity, the employee will be entitled to compensation, which will be computed based on the actual number of minutes worked within the unpaid meal period.   • Preceptor Differential The Hospital shall pay a differential of $1.50 per hour to a nurse who is designated by nursing management to serve as a preceptor to provide on-the-job training to newly hired nurses. One differential will be paid per shift per orientee to the primary preceptor for all hours served as the primary preceptor for that shift. Preceptor will only be paid while the newly hired nurse is in a one-to-one status. Preceptor is a voluntary assignment and the nurse has the option to refuse the preceptor assignment.

  • Service and Seniority Continuation While on pregnancy/birth or parental, or adoption leave, a Nurse shall continue to accrue and accumulate Service and Seniority credits at the same rate as before the leave for the duration of the leave and the Nurse’s Service and Seniority shall be deemed to be continuous. This provision is not applicable to a Casual Nurse.
