Guest Lecturers. 4.5.1 No single Guest Lecturer shall undertake more than ten percent (10%) of the teaching time in any one (1) course.

Guest Lecturers. Faculty may invite guest speakers to attend their classes. Generally, the stipend is no more than $50 per guest, per lecture. Requests outside this amount should be submitted in writing to your Department Chair or Program Coordinator. Faculty must be present when a guest lecturer addresses a class and should not schedule a guest in lieu of their own attendance. To begin the approval process for a guest lecturer, please submit an Internal Requisition at least one month in advance of the lecture date to your Department Chair or Program Coordinator. Include the following: name and information for the guest speaker, the expected date(s) of their visit, your course name and the content of the lecture, the length of time the speaker will speak, room number, and approximate number of students. If approved by your Coordinator or Chair, the Internal Requisition will then be forwarded to Academic Affairs for final approval. Instructors will be notified that their request has been approved via their Asnuntuck email address. After the guest lecture has taken place, please submit a Payment Request form directly to the Academic Affairs office. Both forms can be found on our website at Q:\Forms. All guest speakers need to follow our visitor sign-in procedure when arriving on campus. This procedure is in place to enhance security and safety at the college. The procedures are as follows:

Guest Lecturers. The EMCL++ consortium aims at recruiting 4–6 guest lecturers xxx xxxxxx. Promotion activities to recruit guest lecturers are part of the activities mentioned in §14. Guest lecturers are invited or can apply for a minimum duration of one week and a grant of €1,950/week. They apply through the EMCL++ website, application materials are provided and managed by Ghent University. Selection of candidates is done during a regular consortium meeting or via online meetings, if needed. The Coordinating University manages financial aspects.
Guest Lecturers. 2.3.1 These staff are typically engaged in professional practice outside UEL and supplement the UEL teaching programme, providing one-off specialist lectures or talks on a very occasional basis. UEL can objectively justify the continued use of fixed term or successive fixed term contracts for Guest Lecturers. They are not employees of UEL and their pattern of engagement is such that they do not accrue continuity of service.
Guest Lecturers. 4.8.1 When guest lecturers are required it will be the responsibility of the program/department supervisor or designate to recruit and ensure the qualifications of the person. The Instructor(s) will be in attendance when the guest lecturer is presenting.
Guest Lecturers. When a contract, regular, categorical, or temporary instructor lectures voluntarily lectures in another instructor’s class, it is as part of the professional obligation to the College and without additional compensation. Guest lecturers who are not paid must complete a Volunteer Form to be approved by the area administrator. Guest lecturers who are to receive a stipend must be approved by the Instruction Office before the start of the semester.
