Guaranteed Leave for Association Conferences, Convention & Work. The Association is authorized for up to an aggregate total of six (6) days of leave with pay for individuals designated by the Association each year (September 1 through August 31) for such individuals to serve on programs or in an official representative capacity at Association meetings, conferences or conventions. To be valid, a request for the use of such leave must be submitted in writing by the President of the Association to the Superintendent or designee listing the name(s) of the individual(s) taking such leave and the date(s) of the leave. Such request must be submitted at least fifteen (15) days in advance of the leave unless there is an emergency, or a special meeting makes such notice impossible. The Board shall not be responsible for any additional expense other than that of providing (a) substitute teacher(s), if necessary, The Association agrees to reimburse the Board one-half (1/2) the cost of providing a substitute teacher(s) which the Board deems necessary to replace the individual(s) on leave under provisions of this Section. Additional days for such leave must be approved by the Superintendent.

  • Preconstruction Conference Prior to, or concurrent with, the issuance of the Notice to Proceed with Construction, a conference will be convened for attendance by the Owner, Contractor, A/E and appropriate Subcontractors. The purpose of the conference is to establish a working understanding among the parties as to the Work, the operational conditions at the Project Site, and general administration of the Project. Topics include communications, schedules, procedures for handling Shop Drawings and other submittals, processing Applications for Payment, maintaining required records and all other matters of importance to the administration of the Project and effective communications between the project team members.

  • Standard and Manner of Performance Contractor shall perform its obligations under this Agreement in accordance with the highest standards of care, skill and diligence in Contractor’s industry, trade, or profession.
