Groundwater Data Needs. Hydrologic, geologic, and land and water use settings will all influence where and how many locations are established for groundwater monitoring. Hydrologic factors such as presence of surface water supplies for irrigation, sole reliance upon groundwater for irrigation, or a combination of both surface water and groundwater should be considered.   • DISCOVERY OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS If, during the performance of the Work, Contractor or Contractor’s subcontractor(s) encounter material believed to be asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), or any other identified or non-identified potentially hazardous material (which has not been rendered harmless and labeled as such), Contractor and Contractor’s subcontractor(s) shall immediately stop work in the area affected and report the condition, in writing, to District. The Work in the affected area shall not continue or be resumed except by written direction of District and by agreement by Contractor.

  • Surface  Grade and shape the road surface, turnouts, and shoulders to the original shape on the TYPICAL SECTION SHEET. Inslope or outslope as directed to provide a smooth, rut-free traveled surface and maintain surface water runoff in an even, unconcentrated manner.  Blading shall not undercut the backslope or cut into geotextile fabric on the road.  If required by the Contract Administrator, water shall be applied as necessary to control dust and retain fine surface rock.  Surface material shall not be bladed off the roadway. Replace surface material when lost or worn away, or as directed by the Contract Administrator.  Remove shoulder berms, created by grading, to facilitate drainage, except as marked or directed by the Contract Administrator.  For roads with geotextile fabric: spread surface aggregate to fill in soft spots and wheel ruts (barrel spread) to prevent damage to the geotextile fabric.

  • Dangerous Materials Tenant shall not keep or have on the Premises any article or thing of a dangerous, flammable, or explosive character that might substantially increase the danger of fire on the Premises, or that might be considered hazardous by a responsible insurance company, unless the prior written consent of Landlord is obtained and proof of adequate insurance protection is provided by Tenant to Landlord.

Should the Contractor or any Subcontractors have knowledge that, or believe that, an item, component, material, substance, or accessory within a product or assembly selected by the Contractor or any Subcontractor may contain Hazardous Materials it is the Contractor’s responsibility to secure a written certification from the manufacturer of any suspected material which identifies the specific Hazardous Material(s) contained, together with the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for such materials which shall be submitted to the Owner and Design Professional.
