Grass Cutting. The Contractor shall maintain the height of grass between 4 and 6 centimeters. The Contractor is responsible for all equipment and fuels needed to complete this task.

Grass Cutting. After the lawn has been carefully scarified mechanically in early spring to break up and loosen its surface, xxxx and clover will be removed. As soon as day- time temperature permits (20 degrees Celsius), an anti-xxxx product (iron sulfate), either separately or in combination with a selective weed killer, and appropriate fertilizer, either organic or chemical (consisting of four basic elements: nitrogen, phosphorus, iron and potassium), will be applied. Rolling of the lawn will complete the spring preparation. The frequency of mowing and the height of the cut depend on a number of factors, including the type of grass, its use, and the time of the year. Utility lawns, which this residence has, should preferably be mowed once per week during the high season (April-October), but at least every ten (10) working days, to keep the grass at an acceptable height (between 2 and 4 centimeters) at all times. During early and late summer, the grass cutting frequency should be at its maximum. During dry periods however, the grass will be left a little bit longer. Areas under trees may be mowed less frequently (once every one to two weeks in the summer) to a height of 5 to 10 centimeters. Cut grass shall not be left on the lawn. Cut grass will be removed immediately to avoid a built-up of thatch, suffocation of the lawn and development of xxxx and weeds. The contractor is responsible for all equipment and fuel needed to complete this task.
Grass Cutting. The Company is not looking for a bowling green finish on all of its sites, but is expecting all sites to look clean, tidy and well maintained, with an even finish, no uncut parts of the site or 'soldiers'. The standard expected is a site which looks clean, tidy, safe and well maintained. There are three grass cutting categories;  cut and drop  cut and collect  long grass ( please note there are there are no defined areas within contract currently but may be included at a future date) Cutting heights should be set to encourage grass growth and to provide a pleasing sight after mowing. This will mean having different cutting heights throughout the year according to the weather conditions. In general, grass areas are to be cut fortnightly, but during the first and final flush of the season the Contractor will be required to cut as often as necessary to keep all sites looking clean, tidy and well mown. The Contractor is expected to provide sufficient manpower and machinery to catch up if there is a substantial amount of mowing time lost without removing the staff from other operations on this Contract. The Tenderer will specify how they will achieve this. In conditions of drought, prolonged dry weather or extreme wet weather the Contractor will not commence mowing operations without first obtaining direction from the Company representative. In such instances where the ground could be damaged or safety compromised the routine grass cutting may be suspended. In the event of suspension of routine cut, the Company representative will give a written instruction to the Contractor. No payment will be made for works not carried out. Cutting heights should be set to encourage grass growth and to ensure that the grass is left clean, tidy and sage after mowing. All cutters to mowers shall be sharp and properly set and cut the xxxxx cleanly and evenly, mowers should have their height of cut adjusted so that at no time does scalping take place. The growing season is accepted as being longer than it used to be so the contractor will be required to ensure that cutting is undertaken at all times it is necessary to maintain the sites in a clean, tidy and well maintained. The Contractor shall also on all grass cutting categories at the time of mowing visit will;  Inspect all grass areas prior to each maintenance operation and remove all animal faeces stones, litter, molehills, branches, and other detritus material to an authorised disposal facility.  Clean and keep free of...
