Granting of Days. A member of the Bank may be granted days from the Bank under the following conditions:

Granting of Days a. The number of days requested from the Bank must be specified at the time of the request. It may not exceed thirty (30) days, except in the case of chronic or acute illness of a long term nature, as determined by the sick bank committee. Days granted, but not used, will be returned to the Bank at the end of the school year.
Granting of Days. The initial grant of sick days from the Bank shall not exceed forty (40) days, after which the employee may reapply for additional periods of twenty (20) days. The total amount of time may not exceed one hundred eighty (180) days in the aggregate. Requests for Sick Leave Bank days shall be submitted in writing to the Sick Leave Bank Committee and shall include a written statement from the employee’s physician indicating the nature and the extent of the illness or injury and the estimated time that the employee will be absent from work.

Requests for Sick Leave Bank days shall be submitted, in writing on the form set forth in Appendix D, to the Sick Leave Bank Committee, and shall include a written statement from the professional employee's physician indicating the nature and the extent of the illness or injury and the estimated time that the professional employee will be absent from work. Subject to the foregoing requirements, a majority of the Sick Leave Bank Committee will determine the eligibility for the use of the Bank and the amount of leave to be granted. In administering the Bank and determining the amount of leave, the following general criteria shall be applied by the Committee:

  • Definition of Days A day shall mean calendar days, however, where a deadline occurs on a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday (as identified in Article 25), the deadline shall be extended to the next normal business day.

  • Number of Days In computing the number of days for purposes of this Agreement, all days shall be counted, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; provided, however, that if the final day of any time period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday on which federal banks are or may elect to be closed, then the final day shall be deemed to be the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday or such holiday.

  • Length of Day The total workday shall consist of not more than 7 hours and 45 minutes and shall include a scheduled duty-free lunch period as provided to employees or SUCCESS employees under Subsection 3 of this Article.

  • Taking of Leave (a) Annual leave shall be given and shall be taken within a period of six months after the date when the right to annual leave accrued; provided that the giving and taking of such leave may be postponed by mutual agreement between the parties for a further period not exceeding six months.

  • Taking of Long Service Leave (a) The employer shall give to each employee at least one month's notice of the date from which it is proposed that the employee's long service leave shall be given and taken. Such leave shall be taken as soon as practicable having regard to the needs of the facility, or, where the employer and the employee agree, such leave may be postponed to an agreed date.

  • Posting of Schedules The Employer shall post the weekly work schedule for all employees not later than Monday 6:00 p.m. and twenty-two (22) days in advance. An employee's schedule may be changed without notice in the event of absence of other staff due to sickness or accident or in the event of emergencies. In all other cases, at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice of any change must be given or four (4) additional hours' pay given in lieu of notice. All requests for time off for special personal events to be made to Management for their approval prior to the posting of the schedule, and will be granted wherever possible. It is understood that this clause does not apply to casual employees. There shall be a daily starting time for each employee. Daily hours of work for full time employees shall be consecutive, with the exception of meal periods.
