GENERAL STATEMENT OF INTENT ON NOTIFICATION OF OVERTIME WORK. The Employer and the Union recognize that on certain occasions overtime work is unavoidable and that suck work must be performed upon demand by the Employer’s customers. It is recognized by the parties that employee on certain occasions will have urgent personal commitments that would be difficult to postpone. The parties therefore agree that employee with such personal commitments will inform the dispatcher of such commitments as soon as possible but no later than the start of the workday and the Employer will make every effort to schedule such Employees workday to preclude overtime work. It is further agreed that the Employer will have the right to assign overtime work in the normal manner if there are not enough employees to perform the required overtime work. Please indicate your understanding and acceptance of the foregoing by signing and returning four (4) copies of this letter to the undersigned. False certification or violation of this certification may result in sanctions including, but not limited to, suspension of contract payments, termination of this Contract and/or debarment of contracting opportunities with the State for up to three (3) years.
