Common use of General Leave Clause in Contracts

General Leave. The Employer may grant general leaves of absence to employees, upon request, for periods not to exceed two (2) years. The employee may request that the Employer hold the employee’s position for up to twenty-four months. When the Employer does not hold the employee’s position and elects to accept the employee's request for reinstatement, the Employer will use good faith efforts to return the employee to his/her previous work location.
