GENERAL FRAMEWORK- LABOUR CATEGORIES. 12.1 Labour categories are determined by the accumulation of experience and knowledge in the activities the employee has performed. Each category presupposes certain knowledge and aptitude for carrying out different activities and tasks. Each category involves the aptitude to carry out more than one activity, and each activity in turn involves the aptitude to carry out one or more tasks. There are basic and specific performance tasks. The basic tasks apply to different categories. The specific tasks are typical of each category. The progress and compensation within each category will be subject to passing the tests established by the Company for each activity and to working a requisite number of hours in each activity. Once employees have passed the above mentioned tests and have worked the requisite number of hours for each activity, they will be entitled to additional compensation as set out in this Agreement.

In order to verify the knowledge and aptitude necessary to carry out the different a ctivities, and to appraise the employee’s aptitude within the category, employees will be regularly evaluated by the Company in accordance with its established appraisal pr ocedure. Each category involves the aptitude to carry out more than one activity, and each activity in turn involves the aptitude to carry out one or more tasks. There are basic and specific performance tasks. The basic tasks apply to different categories. The specific tasks are typical of each category. The progress and compensation within each category will be subject to passing the tests established by the Company for each acti vity and to working a requisite number of hours in each activity. Once employees have passed the above mentioned tests and have worked the requisite number of hours for each activity, they will be entitled to additional compensation as set out in this Agre ement .

  • Categories There are several separate categories of network components that shall be provided as UNEs by GTE:

  • Salary Schedule Progression Employees shall progress from step to step in salary grade on the basis of satisfactory job performance based upon established standards of performance. Seasonal employee's initial anniversary date shall be established after being in pay status for two thousand eighty (2,080) hours. Such date shall then be used for annual performance evaluation and step progression consideration. When an employee's anniversary date falls on any day from the first day of a pay week through Wednesday of the pay week, the employee's merit increase shall be effective as of the first day of the pay week within which the anniversary date falls. Otherwise, the merit increase shall be effective on the first day of the next pay week. Grievances arising from the denial of merit increases shall not be arbitrable under this Agreement but shall be processed as follows:

  • TECHNICAL EVALUATION (a) Detailed technical evaluation shall be carried out by Purchase Committee pursuant to conditions in the tender document to determine the substantial responsiveness of each tender. For this clause, the substantially responsive bid is one that conforms to all the eligibility and terms and condition of the tender without any material deviation. The Institute’s determination of bid’s responsiveness is to be based on the contents of the bid itself without recourse to extrinsic evidence. The Institute shall evaluate the technical bids also to determine whether they are complete, whether required sureties have been furnished, whether the documents have been properly signed and whether the bids are in order.
