General Expectations. Be a positive role model and support the College Parents are expected to support the educational ethos and values of the College, model appropriate behaviours for their children to learn from, and work with the College as it educates and provides wellbeing support to all students. Parents can support the College and be positive role models by: – Abiding by the College’s policies, procedures and directions, and ensuring their children do the same. – Being aware of the College’s child protection protocols and, in particular, the Child Safety Policy which aims to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students. – Respecting (and showing to their children they respect) that the College is inclusive and welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds, and with different needs. – Encouraging their children to actively participate in the life of the College, including in the many sporting and co-curricular activities available (noting that some will be compulsory). – Being responsive to concerns raised by the College about their own child, including by being cooperative, providing information and attending meetings when required. – Keeping the College informed about their child’s behavioural or educational needs, including by providing updated medical information as it becomes available. However, parents also need to appreciate that while the College will take into account any new information, the College cannot accommodate every need. – Keeping the College informed about their child’s parenting arrangements, including any court orders that may be in place. However, parents should not involve the College in parenting disputes, orexpect the College to act as the go-between for estranged parents. – Recognising the damage that gossip can do within a College community, and avoiding unconstructive commentary (including criticism, uninformed rumour or speculation) with other parents, including on social media. – Understanding that the College endeavours to make considered decisions that are in the best interests of all students and the entire community, and that any concerns or grievances regarding College practices should first be raised via the College’s established internal complaints mechanisms. – Completing forms and providing information and permissions in a timely manner when requested to do so by the College, in order to enable the College to comply with its many regulatory requirements regarding child safety, health and welfare. General Expectations. The Board of Education recognizes that students do not surrender any rights of citizenship while in attendance at Commerce Public Schools. The school is a community with rules and regulations. Those who enjoy the rights and privileges it provides must also accept the responsibilities that inclusion demands, including respect for and obedience to school rules.
General Expectations. Subcontractors shall develop and maintain safety, health and environmental programs and procedures that meet or exceed Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations and standards. They shall also agree to comply with any Owner and/or Swinerton site-specific requirements. The Subcontractor shall be able to provide reasonable documentation to demonstrate compliance with minimum performance standards (MPS). Prior to mobilization the Subcontractor shall provide a completed MPS checklist to demonstrate awareness and compliance with the MPS to the Swinerton Project Team. No work will begin until this is completed. Subcontractors shall make Swinerton immediately aware of any unique safety, health, or environmental concerns related to their work and make timely efforts to notify other affected contractors working on site and protect the public from hazards. The MPS compliance shall be expected of any additional tier Subcontractors under the first tier Subcontractor’s control. Subcontractors shall be responsible for the content and cost of any training required by the MPS, and shall document that the training is completed before the job starts. Subcontractors shall be responsible for costs related to fines and citations issued by regulating agencies to them and others caused by or related to their work. Subcontractor shall perform and document pre-job and pre-task planning to identify any hazards related to their work. This shall be available for inspection by Swinerton at any time.

Contract Phases Agency anticipates the Services will be a phased development as follows:  Phase I – Preliminary Engineering including: DAP (30%), Preliminary (60%), Advanced (90%) and Final (100%) plans design to contract documents and construction contract bidding assistance;  Phase II - Construction Engineering including CE support during construction. Following completion of a given phase, Agency may, at its discretion: • Amend this Contract to add the next phase (or various elements), or • Elect to complete subsequent phase tasks with in-house staff, or • Assign subsequent phase tasks to another consulting firm. Agency and Consultant shall negotiate the detailed tasks, deliverables, schedule and costs for each phase Agency elects to add. Each added phase will be authorized only by written Contract amendment with all required approvals and signatures.
