General Competence. In addition to the normal job requirements, Bargaining Unit Members shall maintain such levels of professional competence as may be required to successfully discharge their professional responsibilities, which are within the scope of their certification and qualifications. The standards of competence shall minimally be consistent with criteria developed under the Teachers' Tenure Act, the Revised School Code, and the Board's performance evaluation system. It is understood that these competency standards are intended to apply to instructional performance and are not applicable to misconduct situations of a disciplinary nature, the standards for which are addressed separately.

  • Cultural Competence A. The CONTRACTOR shall participate in the State's efforts to promote the delivery of services in a culturally competent manner to all beneficiaries, including those with limited English proficiency and diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, disabilities, and regardless of gender, sexual orientation or gender identity. (42 C.F.R. § 438.206(c)(2).)

  • Cultural Competency 1. All program staff shall receive at least one (1) in-service training per year on some aspect of providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide County with a schedule of in-service training(s) and a list of participants at each such training.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION A. The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendix A which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. Such salary schedule shall remain in effect during the designated periods.
