Funeral and Bereavement Leave. 1. An employee shall be allowed three (3) working days with pay as funeral leave not to be deducted from sick leave for a death in the immediate family. Immediate family is defined as follows: mother, father, step-parents, brother, sister, wife or husband, son or daughter, step-children, moth- er-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents and grandchildren. Additional days may be granted, and shall be chargeable to either sick leave or without pay, at the option of the employee.
