Full Day Absences. 123 In the event that an employee misses a full day of work, the Employer will reduce her/his paid leave bank by the number of hours that the employee was or regularly would have been scheduled to work. For example,  An employee is scheduled to work 10 hours, but calls off before the shift due to illness. Employer will deduct 10 hours from the employee’s paid leave bank.  An employee is scheduled to work 8 hours, but then asks to take a paid personal day off. The Employer will deduct 8 hours from the employee’s paid leave bank.

Full Day Absences. 132 In the event that an employee misses a full scheduled day of work and the employee does not have any paid leave available, the Employer will deduct an amount equal to percentage of time off in full-day increments taken by the employee. For example, if a full time employee who is scheduled to work five days in the workweek is out one day, the Employer may deduct 1/10th of the employee’s bi-weekly salary (1/5th of the weekly salary).
Full Day Absences. In the event than an OD misses a full scheduled day of work for reasons set forth in Section 2.4 above, and the OD does not have any paid leave available, SCPMG will deduct an amount equal to 1/10th of the OD’s bi‐weekly salary (1/5th of the weekly salary).
Full Day Absences. An Exempt Nurse will continue to be paid from sick accruals or Benefit Time accruals, as applicable, in the event of a sick call for a full shift, as under current practice. If no sick or Benefit Time accruals, as applicable, are available to the nurse, the nurse will not be paid for the shift as under current practice. A nurse who takes a compensatory day off for a holiday worked may choose to be paid accruals for less than a full shift, in accordance with current practice.

  • Unexcused Absences Employees who are absent without approved leave (with the exception of emergencies) may be subject to discipline, up to and including discharge from employment.

  • Paid Leaves of Absence Paid leaves of absences granted under this Article shall not exceed the employee's normal work schedule.

  • Unpaid Leaves of Absence A. A department head or designee may grant an unpaid leave of absence for a period not to exceed one (1) year. The employee shall provide substantiation to support the employee's request for an unpaid leave of absence.

  • Excused Absence No later than the 8th consecutive day of a pupil’s absence, CONTRACTOR shall notify LEA of such absence. If CONTRACTOR fails to provide such notice by the 8th day of consecutive absence, CONTRACTOR shall not be compensated for services delivered during continuing absence after the 8th consecutive day of absence. The LEA shall not be responsible for payment for more than eight (8) cumulative days of excused absences in one semester unless a written time extension is granted by XXX. XXX shall not be responsible for payment for days of unexcused absences. All excused absences must be verified and a copy must be submitted to LEA with the monthly invoice. All documentation must be kept for at least five (5) years from the date of origination. Only the individuals listed below may verify the reason for absence:
