If the colour is to be changed, the change shall be done in consultation with the City and reflect as best as can be determined the original appearance of the House or heritage colours appropriate for the period of the House. A contrasting complementary paint colour shall be used for windows, doors and wood trims. Changes to the exterior colour scheme shall not be undertaken without being reviewed and approved by the City Architect. The City Architect may consult with the Heritage Advisory Commission about the colour scheme. The paint colours detailed in Section 4.9 of the DL&A Plan have been approved by the City Architect and are permitted to be used without further consultation.
