Freeze Protection. 7.1 The City of Yellowknife will maintain freeze protection on all water services up to the date of approval of a Principal Building and/or Mechanical Permit, or twenty-four (24) months from Possession Date, whichever occurs first. This requirement is consistent with Section 8 herein.
Freeze Protection. At Buyer's request, freeze conditioning agents of a quality, type, source and quantity acceptable to the Buyer shall be applied by the Seller at the mine to minimize the freezing of Coal during periods of cold weather, provided, however, that Seller's actual cost for any such freeze conditioning shall be for Buyer's account. Such costs shall be competitive in the industry. Upon scheduling trains, Buyer will specify the date to begin and end freeze conditioning each year or by shipment.
Freeze Protection. This section covers the design, furnishing and installation of freeze protection systems for plant process piping systems, equipment, and instrumentation. The systems shall include control panels, transformers, thermostats, heating cable and accessories. Heat tracing conductors shall be self-limiting parallel circuit construction with adjustable thermostats. The heat trace control panels shall be complete with branch circuit breakers, annunciator, control transformer, contactors and relays totally wired for a 480 volt, three-phase supply. The required heat density in xxxxx per foot shall be calculated based on service, required temperature to be maintained, minimum anticipated ambient temperature of 0 DEG. F in a 20-mph wind, pipe size and type and thickness of insulation. The heat tracing shall maintain a minimum temperature of 35 DEG. F for water. Installation procedures shall be in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EPC - Exhibit B -------------------- TENASKA GEORGIA GENERATION PROJECT Page 107 of 132 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Freeze Protection. If applicable, the facility shall be designed to operate in freezing weather, to go through periods of freezing weather while operating or shut down, without damage, and to maintain any process chemical temperatures. Design ambient temperature for freeze protection and temperature maintenance systems are shown in Appendix N3. Freeze protection and temperature maintenance of pipes shall be provided and shall be accomplished with straight runs of heat tracing cable attached and covered with Teflon or other thermal insulating material. Heating cables shall be provided for all outdoor piping smaller than 2 inches, tubing, gauges, and instrumentation containing fluids subject to freezing. Space heaters or heated enclosures shall be used for items where heating cables and insulation is not practical. Heating and heat tracing required for process fluid temperature regulation will be provided by the system equipment suppliers. Freeze protection circuits shall be fed from dedicated freeze-protection distribution panels that are energized through thermostatically controlled contactors. The freeze protection distribution panelboard, as well as the main breaker, contactor, auto-off-manual control switch, control wiring, and indicating lights, shall be contained in an outdoor weatherproof control panel enclosure. Temperature maintenance circuits shall have a dedicated NEMA 4 panel containing main and branch circuit breakers, temperature control components, and alarms contact outputs. All circuits shall be marked in distribution panels to facilitate location of the proper circuit in case of problems. In addition, P&IDs shall be marked to indicate the location of all individual freeze protection circuits, the location of power feeds, the location of any splices or tees, and any other features that will facilitate maintenance and testing of the system. Electrical heat tracing system power shall be fed from switchboards to dedicated freeze protection transformers that step the voltage down for distribution through the dedicated circuit breaker panelboard. The voltage shall be maintained at ±10% of the system rated voltage. Each distribution panelboard shall be provided with approximately 20% spare circuits for future expansion. Freeze protection control circuits shall be designed to switch the entire panelboard on when the temperature falls below 40°F and switch the entire panelboard off when the temperature rises above 45°F. A circuit shall also be provided to alarm if th...
Freeze Protection. Groundwater pumping is used by LADWP to provide freeze protection for the Los Angeles Aqueduct based on the ambient water and air temperatures. If necessary, a well may be operated for the purpose of freeze protection for the Aqueduct even if the operation of the well will prevent attainment of the applicable wellfield target level for the following April 1.
Freeze Protection i. The Owner will be responsible for all freeze protection as per City of Yellowknife By-law No. 4663, as amended.

Freeze Protection. AK Steel shall have the right, but not the obligation, to apply at its cost freeze conditioning agents and/or tarping to Cliffs Pellets during periods of cold weather. In the event Cliffs sells to third parties pellets to which AK Steel has applied freeze protection and/or tarping, then Cliffs shall reimburse AK Steel for the cost of applying freeze conditioning agents and/or tarping to such pellets.
Freeze Protection. When requested by ER&L, Anker shall apply a freeze protection agent as the Coal is loaded in the cars in amounts as may be agreed to from time to time by the Parties. The price for the freeze conditioning (material and application) shall be [*](5) for each pint per Ton of Coal, which ER&L agrees to pay to Anker promptly upon receipt of Anker's invoice therefor. The freeze protection price shall be subject to escalation as provided in Section 6.3.
Freeze Protection. A freeze protection system shall be provided for piping, gauges, pressure switches, and other devices subject to freezing. This includes, but is not limited to, piping located outdoors and piping located near outside doors. For pipes, which operate below 300 Degrees Fahrenheit, parallel circuit type heating cable shall be directly applied to the pipe. These heating cable circuits can be assembled and installed in the field using the appropriate connection kits. For pipes which operate at 300 Degrees Fahrenheit and above, parallel circuit type heating cable rated for the operability temperature or type MI high temperature cable shall be used. These heating cable circuits can be assembled and installed in the field using appropriate connector kits. Power distribution panelboards, each fed from 480-120/208 volt transformers shall furnish power to the freeze protection circuits. Power to the freeze protection circuits shall be controlled by ambient thermostats through a central control panel which shall provide control and alarm/monitoring functions for the freeze protection system. In addition, thermostats that sense actual pipe temperature may be required to prevent overheating of critical process or chemical piping. Remote alarms for the overall system and local monitoring of each freeze protection circuit shall be provided.
