Fractional Employment. (a) A Fractional Doctor is one who is engaged by a Health Service to work 35 hours per week or less, for the treatment of Health Service patients and other agreed duties/commitments.

Fractional Employment. 16.19 In the case of a continuing or fixed-term fractional contract, the salaries, allowances and other entitlements under this Agreement applicable to an equivalent full-time staff member apply to the part-time staff member on a proportionate basis according to the fraction of time worked. A staff member employed on a fractional-time basis, will not by reason of being a fractional-time staff member be required to serve a longer period of service to qualify for any leave entitlements or be granted any lesser period of leave but will be paid pro rata for any such leave.
Fractional Employment. Fractional employment means employment for a fixed number of weeks in the year which is less than 52 weeks, and for which all Agreement entitlements are paid on a pro-rata basis calculated by reference to the weeks worked in the year.
Fractional Employment. An academic staff member may seek approval to convert his/her appointment to a fractional position for a specified period. In such cases the staff member would continue to work an agreed range of normal academic duties but with a consequential reduction in workload allocation during the period. The conditions associated with such an arrangement will need to be discussed and agreed between the staff member and Head of Unit and approved by the Executive Xxxx or equivalent before the fractional appointment arrangement commences.
