Forty Hour Week. In compliance with the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, the City shall designate a forty (40) hour work week for each employee. The designated week can begin at any hour and any day. The designated work week does not necessarily correlate with the biweekly pay period. All employees on a 9/80 or 3/12 work schedule shall have their workweek begin four (4) hours after the start time of their shift on their alternate regular day off. Employees not on a traditional work schedule or 4/10 shall have their workweek begin at midnight on Saturday morning.

Forty Hour Week. (a) Work Week A work week of forty hours, consisting of 5 consecutive days of eight hours each will be established with two rest days in each seven. The work weeks will be established in accordance with the Railway's operation requirements.
Forty Hour Week. If the local parties agree, the enterprise may introduce 40-hour working weeks where the excess working hours are banked. Such banked hours must be taken as full and half days off at a time which is convenient for the parties, perhaps in connection with weekday holidays. Both parties are entitled to eight days' notice.   • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Four Day Work Week 26 1. If a holiday falls on an employee's first or second scheduled day 27 off, the preceding work day will be observed as that employee's holiday, or the 28 employee may choose to bank the holiday leave hours.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Month A period commencing at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on the first Day of a calendar month and extending until 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on the first Day of the next succeeding calendar month. Monthly shall have the correlative meaning.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
