FORMED SURFACES. Surfaces of concrete finished against forms shall be smooth, free from projections and filed thoroughly with mortar. Immediately upon removal of forms all unsightly ridges of fines shall be removed and any local bulging on exposed surfaces shall be remedied by tooling and rubbing, All holes left by the removal of fasteners, shall after being reamed with reamer, be neatly filled with dry packing mortar. All porous and fractured concrete and surface concrete to which additions are required to bring it to the prescribed lines shall be sharp edged and shall be filled to required lines with fresh concrete or dry packing mortar. Where concrete is used for filling the chipped openings, these shall not be less than 8cm in depth and the concrete filling shall be reinforced and dowelled to the surface of the opening. Honey combed surfaces and surfaces which give a hollow sound shall be rectified by grinding at the contractors cost, within the unit rate accepted for concrete.

FORMED SURFACES. Class of Finish: Finishes to formed concrete surfaces shall be classified as F1, F2, or F3. Where the class of finish is not specified, the concrete shall be finished to class F2. All reinforced concrete shall have a F AIR-F ACED finishing. Concrete surfaces for the various classes of formed finishes specified, shall comply with the tolerances shown in Table 1.   • Road Surfaces (1) Grade, shape, crown, and/or outslope surface and shoulders.

  • Surface  Grade and shape the road surface, turnouts, and shoulders to the original shape on the TYPICAL SECTION SHEET. Inslope or outslope as directed to provide a smooth, rut-free traveled surface and maintain surface water runoff in an even, unconcentrated manner.  Blading shall not undercut the backslope or cut into geotextile fabric on the road.  If required by the Contract Administrator, water shall be applied as necessary to control dust and retain fine surface rock.  Surface material shall not be bladed off the roadway. Replace surface material when lost or worn away, or as directed by the Contract Administrator.  Remove shoulder berms, created by grading, to facilitate drainage, except as marked or directed by the Contract Administrator.  For roads with geotextile fabric: spread surface aggregate to fill in soft spots and wheel ruts (barrel spread) to prevent damage to the geotextile fabric.

  • Study Area The study area focused on the Bulk Power System in South-Eastern New York between Albany and New York City, and voltages underlying systems at 115 kV and above in the lower Xxxxxx Valley (Zones G, H & I). In the PSS™E power flow base case provided by NYISO, facilities rated at 115 kV and above in PSS™E designated areas 6 through 11 are monitored in the study.   • GARBAGE DISPOSAL, RECYCLING, AND BIODEGRADABLE MATERIALS A. Concessionaire shall be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Concession Premises. Concessionaire shall ensure placement of all garbage and trash generated by the Concession Operation in designated containers and that said containers are emptied daily, or as more frequently required by Department, at a location within the Area designated by Department. Disposal costs from this latter location shall be borne by Department. Concessionaire shall provide such additional trash containers as may be required to keep the immediate Concession Premises clean at all times. The type of trash containers provided by Concessionaire shall be approved by Department prior to use.

  • Groundwater The groundwater shall not be degraded as a result of the waste maintained at the facility.

  • Contamination The presence in, on or under land, air or water of a substance (whether a solid, liquid, gas, odour, heat, sound, vibration or radiation) at a concentration above the concentration at which the substance is normally present in, on or under land, air or water in the same locality, that presents a risk of Environmental Harm, including harm to human health or any other aspect of the Environment, or could otherwise give rise to a risk of non-compliance with any Statutory Requirement for the protection of the Environment.

  • DISCOVERY OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS If, during the performance of the Work, Contractor or Contractor’s subcontractor(s) encounter material believed to be asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB), or any other identified or non-identified potentially hazardous material (which has not been rendered harmless and labeled as such), Contractor and Contractor’s subcontractor(s) shall immediately stop work in the area affected and report the condition, in writing, to District. The Work in the affected area shall not continue or be resumed except by written direction of District and by agreement by Contractor.

  • School Improvement Plans The School shall develop and implement a School Improvement Plan as required by section 1002.33(9)(n), Florida Statutes and applicable State Board of Education Rules or applicable federal law.
