In addition, the Employer and the Union are aware that approval for the above must be obtained from the Director of Employment Standards (the “Director”) by application. The Employer and the Union agree that an application shall be filed by the Employer with the Director for approval to average overtime hours over a period of two (2) weeks for all employees as set out in the Collective Agreement. The Employer and the Union agree that employees classified as Relief Workers, Relief Asleep Overnight Workers, and SIL Relief Workers may work more than forty-eight (48) hours in a work week up to a maximum of sixty (60) hours in a work week. The Employer and the Union agree that an application shall be filed by the Employer with the Director for approval of these excess hours. A Nurse may also qualify for a premium in Group B. A Nurse may also qualify for either or both of the premiums in Group C. Education premiums shall be pro-rated for Part-Time and Casual Nurses based on regular hours paid. That is to say that the annual amount will be divided by 1950 hours and will be payable on each bi-weekly pay based on regular hours paid which shall include the straight time hourly equivalent of overtime hours worked and hours worked under the premium pay provisions of Article 7.23 to a maximum of the Education Premium entitlement for a Full-Time Position. Where the work can be scheduled in advance, the Company dispatchers will estimate the amount of time required for the tasks, and assign the activities to the "town drivers" accordingly. This work typically involves the unloading of trailers into the cross dock for temporary storage, the transfer of product form one trailer to another, or the loading of trailers from temporary storage.
