For Course Work During Regular Working Hours. A Unit Member may take only one course per semester at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and none elsewhere during his or her regularly scheduled working hours. The course must relate to a job function or must be part of a degree program that relates to job function. Any course can be taken, subject to the established pre-requisites, with priority given to full-time students. Supervisory approval is required, through the level of the area Vice Chancellor. The employee will write a memorandum to his or her area Vice Chancellor, through his/her immediate supervisor requesting approval. The Vice Chancellor will send a copy of the letter, if approved, to the Office of Personnel and to the Unit Member. The Unit Member should include a copy of the approval letter and the University of Massachusetts Lowell Tuition Remission Request form (see Appendix C) with the tuition bill, and return it to the appropriate University Office. The Unit Member must make up any time lost from the regular job performance through participation in a course. This policy shall apply to all graduate and undergraduate courses in both day school and continuing education.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties.   • Flexible Working Hours The Employer will, where operational requirements and efficiency of the service permit, authorize experiments with flexible working hours if the Employer is satisfied that an adequate number of Employees have requested and wish to participate in such an experiment.

  • Work During Vacation Should an employee who has commenced his scheduled vacation and agrees upon request by the Hospital to return to perform work during the vacation period, the employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his basic straight time rate for all hours so worked.   • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Drawings Submitted During the Contract Term Where required to develop, maintain and deliver diagrams or other technical schematics regarding the scope of work, Contractor shall do so on an ongoing basis at no additional charge, and must, as a condition of payment, update drawings and plans during the Contract term to reflect additions, alterations, and deletions. Such drawings and diagrams shall be delivered to the Authorized User’s representative.
