Flow Regimes. (1) The agreed flow regime of the Incomati watercourse is contained in Annex I, which complements the flow regime as determined in the Piggs Peak Agreement, and the agreed flow regime of the Maputo watercourse is contained in the same Annex.

Flow Regimes. The agreed flow regime of the Incomati watercourse is contained in Annex I, which complements the flow regime as determined in the Piggs Peak Agreement, and the agreed flow regime of the Maputo watercourse is contained in the same Annex. Any abstraction of waters from the Incomati or Maputo watercourses, regardless of the use or geographic destination of such waters, shall be in conformity with the flow regimes of Annex I and relevant provisions of this Agreement and its Annexes. The Parties have considered the following criteria in establishing the flow regimes contained in Annex I: The geographic, hydrological, climatic and other natural characteristics of each watercourse; the need to ensure water of sufficient quantity with acceptable quality to sustain the watercourses and their associated ecosystems; any present and reasonably foreseeable water requirements, including afforestation; existing infrastructure which has the capacity to regulate streamflow of the watercourses; and agreements in force among the Parties. The following short to medium term water requirements of each of the Parties are recognised in particular: The strategic importance to Mozambique of augmenting the water supplies to the city of Maputo and its metropolitan area from one or both of the Incomati and Maputo watercourses; the importance to Swaziland of developing the Lower Usuthu Smallholder Irrigation Project in the Usuthu River catchment; and

  • Regulatory Requirements Each Party’s obligations under this Agreement shall be subject to its receipt of any required approval or certificate from one or more Governmental Authorities in the form and substance satisfactory to the applying Party, or the Party making any required filings with, or providing notice to, such Governmental Authorities, and the expiration of any time period associated therewith. Each Party shall in good faith seek and use its Reasonable Efforts to obtain such other approvals. Nothing in this Agreement shall require Developer to take any action that could result in its inability to obtain, or its loss of, status or exemption under the Federal Power Act or the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 2005 or the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978, as amended.

  • Green Economy/Carbon Footprint a) The Supplier/Service Provider has in its bid provided Transnet with an understanding of the Supplier’s/Service Provider’s position with regard to issues such as waste disposal, recycling and energy conservation.

  • SENSITIVE FOREIGN NATIONS CONTROLS (a) In connection with any activities in the performance of this Agreement, Xxxxxx agrees to comply with the “Sensitive Foreign Nations Controls” requirements furnished to Seller by Company, relating to those countries, which may from time to time be identified to Seller by written notice as sensitive foreign nations. Seller shall have the right to terminate its performance under this Agreement upon at least 60 days’ prior written notice to Company if Seller determines that it is unable, without substantially interfering with its policies or without adversely impacting its performance, to continue performance of the work under this Agreement as a result of such notification. If Seller elects to terminate performance, the provision of Part 1.13 shall apply.

  • Traditional Medicine Cooperation 1. The aims of Traditional Medicine cooperation will be: (a) to build on existing agreements or arrangements already in place for Traditional Medicine cooperation; and (b) to promote information exchanges on Traditional Medicine between the Parties. 2. In pursuit of the objectives in Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) encouraging dialogue on Traditional Medicine policies and promotion of respective Traditional Medicine; (b) raising awareness of active effects of Traditional Medicine; (c) encouraging exchange of experience in conservation and restoration of Traditional Medicine; (d) encouraging exchange of experience on management, research and development for Traditional Medicine; (e) encouraging cooperation in the Traditional Medicine education field, mainly through training programs and means of communication; (f) having a consultation mechanism between the Parties' Traditional Medicine authorities; (g) encouraging cooperation in Traditional Medicine therapeutic services and products manufacturing; and (h) encouraging cooperation in research in the fields of Traditional Medicine in order to contribute in efficacy and safety assessments of natural resources and products used in health care.
