FLOATING DAYS OFF. The floating days off provided by Appendix A of the National Provisions shall be taken outside the regular annual vacation period and outside the period from December 15 to January 15, unless there is an agreement to the contrary with the Employer. Each of these days off shall be taken on a day agreed upon by the employee and the Employer, taking into account the provisions of the previous paragraph. The Employer shall endeavour to allow each employee to take these five (5) floating days off on the dates that suit her/him best, taking into account the needs of the service; and the latter shall, for her/his part, give as much advance notice as possible of the dates when she/he wishes to take each day off. FLOATING DAYS OFF. Employees hired on or before July 1, 2012 will be credited with 3 floating holidays to be scheduled for use by mutual agreement by employee and supervisor. In no event will FH be convertible to cash or other benefits in lieu of Floating Holidays. Effective at the close of business 6/30/13 one floating holiday will be eliminated. On July 1, 2013 and every July thereafter, employees will be credited with two (2) Floating Holidays to be scheduled in the same manner as noted above. Employees hired after 7/1/12 will not receive any floating holidays. Floating Holidays not used by the end of the fiscal year will be deemed forfeited.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling on Scheduled Days Off 1. When a holiday falls on a full-time employee's regularly scheduled day off, the employee shall receive eight (8) hours of compensatory time.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Scheduled Days Off Except in cases of emergency, no employee will be required to return to his/her place of employment on his/her scheduled day off.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday‌ A team member who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday. The scheduling of the lieu day shall be in accordance with Appendix 4.

  • Days Off 17.1 The Employer shall schedule two (2) consecutive days off for each employee each week provided that it is recognized that due to the nature of the Employer’s operation in providing a public service, the scheduling of two (2) consecutive days off may not always be feasible. The employer may request through the union that the employee forego two consecutive days off.

  • Floating Holidays In addition to the authorized days in 9.2. each employee, including each academic employee, shall be authorized two (2) floating holidays of his/her choice per fiscal year.

  • Consecutive Days Off The Employer shall schedule consecutive days off for all full-time employees except where a full-time employee requests otherwise. Where possible, part-time employees shall have consecutive days off every second week. Where it can be demonstrated by the Shop Xxxxxxx, to the Employer’s satisfaction, that scheduling of consecutive days off can be accomplished without an adverse effect on the operation of the department, the Employer shall do so.

  • Rostered Days Off 36.1 The ordinary working hours shall be worked in a 10 day/2 week cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive with eight hours worked on each of nine days within the cycle and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which shall be taken as a paid day off.
