Flexible Start Times. The Hospital and the Union recognise that the Hospital has unique needs that may require flexible start times. Notwithstanding the above, it is understood that specialty areas shall not necessarily have the same hours of work as mentioned in Article D above. Nurses working flexible start times will work seven and one-half (7.5) hour tours or eleven and one quarter (11.25) hours tours and their hours of work shall average thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hours per week, over a six (6) week schedule, as determined by the Hospital. The start time for these areas shall vary. Flexible start times may be implemented, following consultation with the Union, to meet patient care needs or to allow the Registered Nurse to facilitate the performance of her nursing duties. Flexible Start Times. 7.1 Employees shall be required by the Company to commence their ordinary hours of work at any time between 5.30 am and 8.30 am, Monday to Friday.
