Flex Day. Teachers are given one flex day per year in lieu of a personal day. The flex day could be used with 24 hours notice if at all possible. Flex days will be converted to personal days for purposes of accumulation. Flex days are not subject to administrative approval.
Flex Day. Para Educators covered under this Appendix may, with approval from the school principal and/or associate principal, work additional hours in the month of November equivalent to the number of hours necessary to allow them to leave when students leave on the day before Thanksgiving.
Flex Day. Employees may bank up to one (1) work day to be used later in the work year on a day that is mutually agreeable between the employee and the supervisor; preferably when a substitute is not required. Should a substitute be necessary, the cost will be charged to the building budget. Records will be maintained at the building to document when hours were worked and taken.
Flex Day. Employees in the Unit who, with the knowledge and concurrence of their supervisor, work on a day not part of their normal contract work year calendar, have the right to exchange that extra day for a work day that is part of their work year calendar (“flex day”). Every attempt shall be made to avoid scheduling a “flex day” when students or teachers are present or meetings are scheduled. The scheduling of such day shall be discussed with and subject to prior approval (see SJPEC Flex Day Protocol form, Appendix G) by the employee’s supervisor.
Flex Day. Two flex days per school year are available to each employee. These days have the following guidelines: (2008)

Flex Day. Employees in positions of less than 260 days may bank up to one work day of flex time to be used during the work year at a time which is agreeable between the employee and the supervisor. Time worked for the purpose of “banking” in accordance with this Flex Day section may not exceed forty (40) hours a week. Any time worked in excess of forty (40) hours must be supervisor authorized and compensated in accordance with Section 8.6 above. The flex day must be used during the work year.
Flex Day. Flex Day. In each year following the first complete year of service, Employees shall be entitled to one (1) flex day which shall be taken at a time mutually agreed to by the Employee and their immediate supervisor.
Flex Day. An employee’s regularly scheduled day off under the Flexible 5-4/9 work schedule on which no work hours are scheduled.
