Fire Management. General Guidelines 1056 Procedures in an approved Fire Management Plan shall be followed in the event of a fire. 1057 If a Fire Management Plan which prescribes treatment measures for historic properties is 1058 not in place, the following shall apply to fire management during fires that have the 1059 potential to affect historic properties. In each instance the goal is to minimize impacts to 1060 historic properties from both fires and firefighting activities, and post-fire rehabilitation 1061 activities:
Fire Management. 37.6.1 Fire management is an important concern in all Protected Areas and is a major policy and operational issue in the Protected Area. The Private Party must familiarise itself with the relevant fire policies and procedures of the Protected Area in which the Abseiling activity are located.

An Individual property fire management planning kit which has been developed by the South East Queensland Fire & Biodiversity consortium has been supplied to the Wildlife Land Trust for development of fire management plan. It is recommended that the track running down the main spur be developed as a fire management break. This would require significant erosion control measures due its steep nature. Prescribed xxxxx could then be conducted in the open forest with the grassy understorey. This would have the dual function of maintaining the diversity of fire dependant species in this area as well as reducing the fuel adjoining the rainforest. Fire frequency should be in accordance with the recommendations developed by the SEQ Fire & Biodiversity consortium for open forest with a grassy understorey (3-6 years).
Fire Management. Associated with the urban interface issues, is the ongoing concern related to wildfire risk. At issue are the types of fuels and the proximity of those types of fuels to homes. This planning effort will also address appropriate fire management actions including areas where fire is not desired, where fire can be used as a resource management tool for habitat restoration, and where fuel reductions are necessary as required by the 2001 Federal Wildland Fire Policy.
