Common use of Fire Extinguisher Clause in Contracts

Fire Extinguisher. You acknowledge that as of this date, the residence is equipped with one or more fire extinguishers; that you have checked the fire extinguisher(s) and they are currently inspected and charged. Repair: You agree that it is your duty to regularly test the smoke detector(s) and agree to notify the owner or owner’s agent immediately in writing or by phone of any problems, defects, malfunction or failure of the smoke detector(s). You agree to visually check the fire extinguisher for a satisfactory charge and agree to notify the owner or owner’s agent if the fire extinguisher has been used for any reason and needs to be recharged.
