Fire and Safety a. Fire safety devices are installed in all rooms. Residents and guests must evacuate any time that a fire alarm sounds. Failure to evacuate may result in disciplinary action, including expulsion and/or the imposition of monetary charges against violators. Tampering with fire safety equipment is a violation of state law and University Regulations and may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to removal from University housing, expulsion from the University, sanctions, fines and/or the imposition of charges for applicable restitution. You may not disconnect, damage, or tamper in any way with fire safety devices. You will immediately report to a University staff member the malfunction of any fire safety device, including smoke detectors or sprinkler heads in your room.
Fire and Safety. Tenant shall not do, or permit anything to be done in the Leased Premises, or bring, use or keep anything therein, which will in any way increase the rate of fire insurance on the Building, or invalidate or conflict with fire insurance policies on the Building, fixtures or on property kept therein. Tenant agrees that any increases of fire insurance premiums on the Building or contents caused by the occupancy of Tenant and any expense or cost incurred in consequence of negligence or the willful action of Tenant, Tenant's employees, agents, servants, invitee, or licensees shall be deemed Additional Rent and paid as accrued.

Manager shall ensure that the Facility shall be constructed and maintained in compliance with all fire and safety statutes, ordinances, and regulations which would be applicable if the Facility were located outside of the jurisdiction of the Band although those requirements would not otherwise apply within that jurisdiction. Nothing in this Section shall grant any jurisdiction to the State or any political subdivision thereof over the Gaming Site or the Facility. The Band shall be responsible for arranging fire protection and police services for the Facility.

The Gaming Facility shall be constructed and maintained in compliance with the standard uniform BOCA code concerning fire and safety, provided that nothing in this Agreement shall grant any jurisdiction to any state government or any political subdivision thereof over the Property or the Gaming Facility.

Health & Safety Birkbeck may cancel this agreement with immediate effect if, in Birkbeck's exclusive judgement, a Client is in breach of its duties under the Health and Safety at Work Xxx 0000 and its subsequent modifications. This includes ensuring that Birkbeck is provided with all reasonable information in good time to ensure that it can comply with its own obligations under section 3 of the Act. The Client will undertake a formal written risk assessment specific to the event and Birkbeck reserve the right at any time to request a copy of this and any associated documentation. Freedom of Speech Policy Clients must familiarise themselves and comply with the Birkbeck Freedom of Speech Policy which is available at: xxxx://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/registry/policies/policies-1 Birkbeck may cancel this agreement with immediate effect where, in Birkbeck's exclusive judgement, the Client is in breach of the Birkbeck Freedom of Speech Policy. To ensure compliance with the University’s obligations to ensure free speech within the law and to mitigate risk and promote good campus relations, conditions may be attached to an authorisation for an event request, including but not limited to:- Reviewing the methods of promoting the Event and the content of promotional material (and potentially restricting what is available at the Event) Requesting a copy of the guest list for review prior to the Event Admittance or non-admittance of members of the public Making the Event ticketed or specifying that attendees must show a valid student card Provision of a specified number of suitable stewards Varying the time and location of the Event That the Event is declared ‘public’ or ‘private’ Ensuring there is no discriminatory gender segregation The College to be responsible for security arrangements (a controlling officer may be appointed for this purpose) Presence of specified senior members of the University The refusal or admission of the media to the Event.
