File Review. The Department shall allow every employee the opportunity to review their own official employee personnel file and/or Bureau file at any reasonable time upon request, and to request a copy of any needed documents in the file. The official personnel file shall remain under the control of the Office of Labor Relations. If an employee, upon examining his/her personnel file, has reason to believe there are inaccuracies in the documents therein, the employee may write a memorandum to the Deputy Chief of the Professional Standards Division explaining the alleged inaccuracy and ask that the documents be corrected or removed. The Deputy Chief/designee shall investigate the employee's request within 30 calendar days, advise the employee's chain of command, make any appropriate correction, or removal if warranted, and advise the employee of the decision. The employee's memorandum shall be attached to the material in question and filed therewith if the documentation is not changed.
File Review. Employees shall have the right to review the contents of their personnel file. Arrangements to review the file shall be made through the office of the Superintendent.
File Review. The employee may request his personnel file upon a written request; such request must be submitted five (5) days prior to the date of review. Should an employee, upon review of his personnel file, observe materials of a negative or derogatory nature, the employee may provide a written and signed comment or rebuttal, and such response shall be attached to the material in question. File Review. Each faculty member shall have the right to review the entire contents of his/her personnel file, with the exception of confidential placement recommendations and any other material excluded under RCW Chapter 42.56 as currently enacted and hereafter amended. Examinations of personnel files shall occur only following a previously arranged appointment with the human resources office.
