As such, others may be able to access your computer, operating system, data and other equipment connected in some way to your computer and operating system. In addition, some available software includes capabilities that will permit other users to gain access to your computer, operating system, data and other connected equipment to the software, files and data stored on such equipment, even if you are not using the Internet Service. We recommend that you disable file and print sharing and other capabilities that allow outside users to gain access to your computer, operating system, or other equipment of yours or the data, software or files thereon. You acknowledge that if you choose to run these applications, you should take appropriate security measures, and that any failure by you to follow this recommendation is at your sole risk. Atlantic Broadband shall have no liability whatsoever for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings resulting from, arising out of or otherwise relating to access by others to your computer, operating system, or other equipment of yours or the data, software or files thereon.

Unless you are subject to a Service plan that expressly provides otherwise, the Provider therefore recommends that the Subscriber connect only a single computer or router/firewall per Subscriber to the Service and that the Subscriber disable file and print sharing and other capabilities that allow others to gain access to the Subscriber’s computer. Any Subscriber who chooses to participate in the Service using other than a single computer or who chooses to enable capabilities such as file sharing, print sharing, or other capabilities that allow Subscribers to gain access to the Subscriber’s computer, acknowledges and agrees that the Subscriber does so at the Subscriber’s own risk, and that neither the Provider nor its underlying providers shall have any liability whatsoever for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings arising out of or otherwise relating to such use by the Subscriber.

You acknowledge that if you fail to follow these recommendations and choose to run these applications, you should take appropriate security measures, and that you do so at your sole risk. Neither Packerland nor its affiliates, suppliers, or agents shall have any liability whatsoever for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings resulting from, arising out of or otherwise relating to access by others of the customer equipment or any other equipment connected in some way to the customer equipment, or to the software, files and data stored on such equipment.

File and Print Sharing. The UCS Internet Service functions in similar ways to that of a Local Area Network (LAN). A Local Area Network is a computer network that interconnects computers within a limited area such as a residence, school, laboratory, university campus or office building and therefore individuals who access the internet in general terms constitute a node on the network. A node is any physical device within a network of other tools that is able to send, receive, or forward information. A personal computer is the most common node. Therefore others may be able to gain access to your devices including but not limited to your computer, your computer’s operating system, files, data and any other device or equipment that may be or is connected in some way to your computer and your computer’s operating system. Some software readily available on the internet and/or for purchase in a retail store include utilities and capabilities for others to gain access to your computer, computers’ operating system, files, data and other equipment which may be connected to software, files and data stored on your equipment, even if and when you are not using the UCS Internet Service. In accordance with common practice industry standards it is advisable that you fully disable, and do not use file and print sharing along with other functionality and capabilities that may permit other users of the general internet to gain access to your devices, tablets, mobile phones, computers, device operating systems, or other equipment which may be in your possession that you use, or the data, software or files installed on such equipment or devices. You affirm and agree that if you use and run these types of applications, you need to take all required steps to implement security measures to attempt to avoid intrusion onto your device. Any inaction or failure by you to adhere to this suggestion is at your sole risk. UCS shall have no responsibility or liability to you and/or any other user of the UCS Internet Services at your Premises whatsoever for any losses, claims, damages, suits, actions, relating to, or arising from access by others to your devices, device operating systems, or other equipment which may be in your possession that you use, or the data, software or files installed on such equipment or devices.

Any Customer who chooses to participate in the Service using other than a single computer or who chooses to enable capabilities such as file sharing, print sharing, or other capabilities that allow users to gain access to the Customer's computer, acknowledges and agrees that the Customer does so at the Customer's own risk, and that neither Bee Line Cable nor its Underlying Providers shall have any liability whatsoever for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings arising out of or otherwise relating to such use by the Customer.

As such, users outside a Service Location may be able to access Customer’s systems. Additionally, some software may permit other users to gain access to Customer’s systems and to the software, files, and data stored on Customer’s systems. If Customer chooses to enable capabilities such as file sharing, print sharing, or other capabilities that allow users to gain access to Customer’s systems, then Customer acknowledges and agrees that it does so at Customer’s own risk.

Customer acknowledge that if Customer fail to follow these recommendations and choose to run these applications, Customer should take appropriate security measures, and that Customer do so at Customer sole risk. NEITHER HIQ DATA CORPORATION NOR ITS AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, OR AGENTS SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY CLAIMS, LOSSES, ACTIONS, DAMAGES, SUITS OR PROCEEDINGS RESULTING FROM, ARISING OUT OF OR OTHERWISE RELATING TO ACCESS BY OTHERS OF THE CUSTOMER EQUIPMENT OR ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT CONNECTED IN SOME WAY TO THE CUSTOMER EQUIPMENT, OR TO THE SOFTWARE, FILES AND DATA STORED ON SUCH EQUIPMENT. Facilities Allocation. HIQ DATA Corporation reserves the right to determine, in its discretion, and on an ongoing basis, the nature and extent of its facilities allocated to support Broadband Service, including, but not limited to, the amount of bandwidth to be utilized and delivered in conjunction with Broadband Service.

As well, some software includes capabilities that permit other users across a network such as the service and the internet to gain access to the customer's computer and to the software, files and data stored on the computer. For example, operating systems such as Windows 95, 98, 2000 and Apple Macintosh include file sharing and print sharing capabilities which, when enabled, will permit other users to gain access to the customer's computer even if the customer is not using the service. Any customer who chooses to participate in this service using other than a single computer or who chooses to enable capabilities such as file sharing, print sharing, or other capabilities that allow users to gain access to the customer's computer, hereby acknowledges and agrees that the customer does so at the customer's own risk, and that neither XXX Networks or its agents shall have any liability whatsoever for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings arising out of or otherwise relating to such use by the Customer.
