Common use of Federal Jurisdiction Clause in Contracts

Federal Jurisdiction. The Society was certified in May 1995 under the Canada Labour Code for a bargaining unit comprised of the following: All employees of Xxxxx Power* in the Province of Ontario, employed as supervisors, professional engineers, engineers-in-training, scientists, and professional, administrative and associated employees, save and except for persons who perform managerial functions as distinct from supervisory functions; persons employed in a confidential capacity with respect to labour relations; and persons in bargaining units for which any trade union held bargaining rights as of November 13, 1991. On April 1, 1998, jurisdiction for labour relations for the above-noted federal bargaining unit was delegated to the Province of Ontario.
