Common use of Federal Government Clause in Contracts

Federal Government. To the extent that any Invention has been funded by the federal government, this Agreement and the grant of any rights in that Invention is subject to and governed by federal law as set forth in 35 U.S.C. 9~ 201-21 i, and the regulations promulgated thereunder, as amended, or any successor statutes or regulations. If any term of this Agreement fails to conform to those laws and regulations, the relevant term shall be invalid and modified by the parties pursuant to Section 8.16.
