Common use of Family Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

Family Medical Leave. An eligible Unit Member shall be entitled to up to twelve (12) work weeks of unpaid leave within a twelve (12) month period for family and medical reasons under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, and the California Family Rights Act (“family medical leave”). The following provisions shall be interpreted in accordance with those statutes and accompanying regulations.

Family Medical Leave. An eligible Unit Member employee shall be entitled to up to twelve 12 work-weeks (12prorated for part-time employees) work weeks of unpaid leave within a twelve (12) 12 month period for family and medical reasons under the federal Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, 1993 and the California Family Rights rights Act (collectively, “family medical leave”). The following provisions shall be interpreted in accordance with those statutes the statues and accompanying regulationsregulations governing family medical leave.
