Family Medical Leave. (a) An employee is entitled to family medical leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
Family Medical Leave. (a) Family Medical Leave will be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act for up to eight (8) weeks within a twenty-six (26) week period.
Family Medical Leave. A request for Family Medical Leave will be granted in accordance with the ESA for up to eight (8) weeks within a twenty-six (26) week period. An employee who is on Family Medical Leave shall continue to accumulate seniority and service and both the employer and employee will continue to pay their respective shares of the benefit and pension premiums in which the employee is participating during the leave. The employee shall be reinstated to her or his former position.

An eligible Unit Member shall be entitled to up to twelve (12) work weeks of unpaid leave within a twelve (12) month period for family and medical reasons under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, and the California Family Rights Act (“family medical leave”). Family Medical Leave. 1. If an employee takes a leave granted under this Article for a reason covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act, the leave shall be administered under the provisions of the FMLA.
