Common use of Family Illness Leave Clause in Contracts

Family Illness Leave. Section 1: Family Illness Leave may be granted to an eligible employee as defined in Section 2 below in the case of actual sickness or disability of an immediate family member. Immediate family shall be defined as: the employee's spouse, father, mother, son, daughter, grandparents, registered domestic partners and persons determined "in loco parentis" (in place of the parent) by the Director of Human Resources.
