Family Illness Days. An Employee shall be entitled to use up to a maximum of two (2) days per school year from his/her sick leave credits to attend to a member of the Employee’s immediate family who is ill when the Employee’s personal attention is required. For the purpose of this article, immediate family is defined as mother, father, son, daughter, or other person who permanently resides with the Employee. These days cannot be carried forward.
Family Illness Days. An employee who has completed six (6) months of actual service shall be allowed to use up to four (4) days of accrued sick time per year for time needed to care for a sick family member. Family member shall be restricted to parents, parents-in-law, spouse, children or a family member residing in the same household. The Town Manager, upon the request of the employee, may extend coverage for family illness days to other members of the employee's family who are ill. The use of family illness days shall be charged against sick time and carries all the implications, requirements and responsibilities of a sick day.
Family Illness Days. Supervisors shall be entitled to two days of leave in each school year for the purpose of caring for an ill spouse, child, parent, or member of their immediate household. These days of leave shall be with pay. Days not used will accumulate as sick leave.
Family Illness Days. Up to three (3) days family illness leave upon request per school year when a member of the immediate family of the teacher is critically ill or disabled and requires the personal attention of the teacher, if supported by a medical certificate.
Family Illness Days. 1. Department chairpersons shall be granted three (3) family illness days each year, subject to verification by the Board.
Family Illness Days. Each employee shall be allowed to use the employee's accrued sick leave to care for the child of the employee under the age of eighteen with a health condition that requires treatment or supervision verified by a physician. Five (5) days of accrued sick leave may be used in the event of the serious illness of a member of the immediate family with verification by a physician in order to make arrangements for proper care. (Immediate family shall be defined as per the State Family Care law.)
Family Illness Days. Employees may carry over up to two (2) sick days per year as family illness days for use in subsequent years. At no time may an employee accumulate more than six (6) family illness days.

An allowance of up to five (5) days per year shall be granted for medically serious illness of father, mother, spouse, child, brother or sister. an allowance of up to two (2) days per year shall be granted for medically serious illness of mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandmother, or grandfather. Documentation as to illness of the immediate family member may be required by the Superintendent.
Family Illness Days. Full-time twelve months and full-time ten months, bargaining unit members may be absent from work for up to two (2) days, singularly or consecutively to attend to the illness of their dependent child, spouse or their parent. Such absences shall be deducted from the employee’s accumulated sick leave as defined in Article VIII, Section 1. Part-time twelve month and part-time ten month employees are not eligible for this section.
Family Illness Days. Up to three (3) of the accumulated days per school year may be used for personal business as outlined below in section E. PERSONAL DAYS. Members of the unit shall be permitted to convert up to two (2) days from their bank of sick days into either personal days or family illness days which shall be utilized in accordance with the provisions and restrictions of Sections C. and E.
